The J.J. Cruikshank, Jr. Family lived in this American Castle for nearly 25 years until, in 1924, upon his death, this beautiful mansion was closed and left unoccupied for 43 years. On the verge of being razed three local families bought the house from the remaining Cruikshanks and the restoration process began. Daily-guided tours are given.

The present owner wanted to share what it was like to live in this beautiful home so he opened Hannibal Bed and Breakfast at Rockcliffe Mansion in 2007 for all to enjoy and take a step back in history. This Bed and Breakfast is unlike most in that approximately 80% of the contents in the house are original Cruikshank possessions. Come relive the past at Rockcliffe Mansion. Our guest rooms have been designed with comfort in mind but are still in the style that was popular at the turn of the century.
